Jeff Eaton, M.D. is a board certified ENT/Head and Neck Surgeon specializing in skin cancer/Mohs surgery and facial plastic reconstruction as well as snoring and diseases of the sinuses. He is unique as one of a few head and neck surgeons trained in the Mohs technique for skin cancer removal and advanced reconstructive techniques.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of California Berkeley, Dr. Eaton earned his medical degree from the University of California Los Angeles, School of Medicine. Following an internship in General Surgery at the University of California Davis and a residency in Head and Neck Surgery/Otolaryngology at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Oakland, California, he then completed a fellowship in Mohs and Cosmetic Surgery at the University of California San Francisco. In 2001, Dr. Eaton was excited to return to his hometown to join the prestigious Scripps Clinic in La Jolla. There he was an active member of both the Head and Neck Surgery Department and Mohs and Cosmetic Surgery Departments prior to starting a private practice in 2007.

Dr. Eaton is one of the few reconstructive surgeons trained and certified in the Mohs technique. Mohs is a specialized technique to remove skin cancer where the physician serves as surgeon, pathologist, and reconstructive surgeon. It offers the highest cure rate of all methods of skin cancer removal. This combined with his background in facial reconstruction makes him uniquely qualified.

Dr. Eaton’s advanced training in laser surgery and facial rejuvenation allows him to achieve natural results for patients wishing cosmetic enhancement. He is an expert on the cosmetic use of Botox, fillers, eyelid surgery and facial rejuvenation.

As a board certified ENT/head and neck surgeon, Dr. Eaton can treat all disorders of the head and neck. He specializes in the treatment of chronic sinusitis, nasal and facial reconstructive surgery. Board certified by the American Board of Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Eaton is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, the San Diego Dermatological Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery as well as a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Eaton regularly lectures at national medical conferences. As an associate clinical professor at the University of California San Diego, Dr. Eaton is actively involved in teaching residents and fellows. He has authored numerous articles and book chapters. Dr. Eaton is currently a staff surgeon at La Jolla Outpatient Surgery Center, Scripps Green and Memorial Hospitals.
